And it looks to be a weekend of arty and crafty things to do:

8th – 17th SEPT // The sculptures have set up for the annual sculpture festival which starts today and runs until the 17th. The festival is popular among the whole of South East Queensland and is well known throughout the regions. For the full program, have a look here.

SAT & SUN // Freeman’s Organic Farm will be hosting an intensive two day organic farming and healthy nutrition workshop, at 618 Tomewin Mountain Road, Currumbin Valley. Sounds amaaze!

SAT // The Green Marquee Market is Held from 7am-1pm this Saturday at Currumbin Valley’s Eco Village. The market has a focus on showcasing environmentally friendly businesses that are handmade, natural, eco-friendly, sustainable, recycled and locally made. We love the sound of that!

SUN // Spend the morning beachside and support local artisans at the Gold Coast's famous art and craft markets, held along Coolangatta foreshore. There are over 150 stalls showcasing the best and most original of Australian-made products. It just doesn’t get any better than that!

EAT.

You all know how much we looove The Beach Shack next door – the food is absolutely delicious, the people are saa friendly and the views from up top are to die for. You can see their menu right here.

If you’re in Tugun this weekend, we can also recommend Cafe Caribou on the corner of Golden Four Drive and Toolona Street – more delicious food, fab coffee, more nice people! A definite must try.

One we haven’t tried yet, but are going to very soon, is Guilty Cafe on Galleon Way, Currumbin Waters. The name probably gives it away - if you haven’t seen their instagram feed, get over there and see what it’s all about. Please let us know what you try from their menu so we have some recommendations up our sleeves for our visit!

While we’re talking about what we haven’t tried yet but want to, Neighbourhood Espresso definitely stands out. With the quietness of Station Street in Currumbin Waters and a trendy space inside and out, we think you’d enjoy it!

Of course, last but not least, our old favourites are Currumbin RSL and Currumbin Vikings Surf Club – you won’t regret a visit to each, both boasting amazing views, happy people and a feel-good atmosphere. See you there!
