Introducing Mr Bruce Corr, Owner of LJ Hooker Currumbin.
Bruce’s Father, Mr Lin Corr, was a super optimist and incredibly gifted Sales person. Creating a dynamic duo with somewhat pessimistic Bruce, the pair began making waves in real estate in 1949.
The LJ Hooker Currumbin office was originally a general store and the pre-war building is one of the oldest in the area. In the 1950’s, Bruce approached all property owners along the street to donate 4 feet of property each to council and is responsible for the generous footpath that runs the street front. To this day, the LJ Hooker Currumbin sign post stands proud and predominate at the front of the office with hand written permission from Council, as reward for Bruce’s hard work and dedication to the cause.
Lin started out selling mainly acreage, much to The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, while Bruce handled local property. Real estate was second nature to Bruce after plenty of life experience across and varied and colourful background. After entering the ARMY at 18, Bruce dabbled in work from pineapple and cane cutting to running the ‘Play Room’ at Currumbin. Along with his beloved late wife Dulcie, Bruce started Santa Land, a place of fun and fantasy, with life sized nursery rhymes and its very own log cabin out the front.
LJ Hooker Currumbin to this day is a family owned and operated business, celebrating 65 years in real estate. It goes without saying that with Bruce’s experience and local knowledge, combined with the remaining teams expertise, absolutely nobody does it better....
